Frequently Asked Questions

Shipping and Handling 

  • We offer free shipping within the contiguous 48 states on all orders that exceed $500
  • Orders must ship to one location using the carrier of our choice to qualify for free shipping
  • Orders from Alaska and Hawaii - Fax to place order 1+ (909) 235-4130
  • Expedited service orders - Call to place order. Additional shipping and handling charges will apply
  • Website orders less than $500 - $20 shipping and handling
  • Telephone orders less than $500 - $20 shipping and handling

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a refund. Lights For U will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).  Special Order Items or Items that opened or are not a result of our error will be accepted at the discretion of Lights For U and are subject to a minimum 25% re-stocking fee.  Return shipping costs on these items are the responsibility of the customer.

You should expect to receive your refund within 2-3 weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (1 to 2 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (3 to 5 business days).

For any returns requests, please send an email to returns@lightsforu.com including your Order ID and we will contact you to schedule carrier pick-up.

 
  •   If a customer wishes to separate order into partial shipments, shipping costs may apply.  For orders of less than $500 or 150lbs products will be shipped via UPS, FEDEX or other available carriers at customer preference and expense.  Lights For U will use customer shipping account if provided.
  • All shipments are F.O.B. origin; product ownership passes to you when it leaves our factory
  • Additional charges will be assessed when changing a shipment's destination
  • The customer is responsible for unloading goods. Please have the necessary unloading equipment readily available at the shipment destination
  • In the event only some of the products are in stock at the time the order is placed, we will ship the in-stock product immediately and the backordered items will ship via ground shipping service at no additional charge, when stock is replenished
 
Shipping Lead Times

Orders received before noon PST during normal business hours, on in-stock items, are shipped withen 48 hours (M-F) once the payment is received. You can expect delivery within 3-7 business days depending on your location. 

Non-stock has a lead time of 4 to 6 weeks. We will email you the status.

Larger orders may ship via common carrier and require you to be responsible for unloading.
