Limited Warranty

Lights For U warrants all products sold hereunder to be free from defect in manufacturing, under normal and proper storage, installation and use. Warranty Period varies depending on the product technology (below) and is valid from Date of Shipment. This warranty applies only to the original purchase for fixtures used within the U.S., Canada, Mexico or other country specified by Lights For U and is not transferable. Our guarantee and obligations under this warranty and the sole remedy for its breach are limited to repair at its manufacturing facility of any part or parts of the product which proves to be defective or in the sole discretion of Lights For U for the replacement of such products. All returns of defective parts and products must include the product model number and serial number and must be arranged through Lights For U or an authorized distributor.

Warranty Period:            

• Fluorescent Fixtures – 5 years
• Fluorescent Lamps- 3 years
• LED Fixtures – 5 years
• LED Lamps – 3 years
• Sensors – 2 years (or manufacturer warranty, whichever is greater)

All returns must be shipped prepaid. Repaired or replaced parts will be shipped by Lights For U's expense. The warranty provided herein does not cover charges for labor, or any other costs incurred in the troubleshooting, repair, removal, installation, service or handling of parts or complete products. Lights For U shall not be responsible for damages that result from deliveries that do not occur within a customer’s specified time frame or any delay or default in delivering products where occasioned by any cause beyond the control of Lights For U. All claims under this warranty provided herein must be made within 30 days from the date of the discovery of the default. Failure to notify Lights For U of a warranty defect within 30 days of its discovery voids all obligations hereunder. The warranty provided herein shall be void and of no effect in the event that (a) the product has been operated outside its designed output capacity; (b) the product has been subjected to misuse, neglect, accident, improper or inadequate maintenance, corrosive environments, environments containing airborne contaminants ( silicone, aluminum oxide, etc.), or excessive thermal shock; (c) unauthorized modifications are made to the product; (d) the product is not installed or operated in compliance with the manufacturer’s printed instructions; (e) the product is not installed and operated in compliance with applicable building, mechanical, plumbing and electrical codes; or (f) the serial number of the product has been altered, defaced or removed.

Making a Warrant Claim

Notice of any warranty claim should be sent to Lights For U at 1249 South Diamond Bar Blvd. #345 Diamond Bar CA 91765 USA. or email at returns@lightsforu.com to receive a RMA# and instructions for return of the Product, freight prepaid. 

Further Limitations: TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LIMITED WARRANTY AND REMEDIES SET FORTH ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE). IF WE CANNOT LAWFULLY DISCLAIM STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, THEN TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL SUCH WARRANTIES WILL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY AND TO REFUND, REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT SERVICE AS DETERMINED BY Lights For U IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. 

IN NO EVENT SHALL Lights For U BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, COMPENSATORY, CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL OR OTHER DAMAGES.Lights For U AGGREGATE LIABILITY WITH RESPECT TO A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE MONIES PAID TO Lights For U FOR THAT DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
